This is a software data broker service that is built over the esthesis platform. Its main function is to gather data from various sources and provide it for third parties’ services in a universal way or package it in appropriate languages, data formats and content structures as required. While in BENEFFICE the data broker service has been implemented for i. energy and gas consumption meters gathered through a gateway and ii. users’ actions gathered by a mobile app, this service functionality is actually reusable and generalisable. In BENEFFICE the data are provided to the multiple energy analytics modules. The service can be used to gather data from sensor or software agents and provide them through an API as necessary to any data consuming applications. |

Rewards mobile application (CO2 mobile and credit management system) |
In Beneffice project, we successfully designed and distributed an “energy-efficiency” coin. We propose to design a retail Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), to distribute money to economic agents (households, enterprises, NGOs, local gov.) that are abating CO2 emissions and to favour the circulation of this CBDC to accelerate the trade of goods and services that promote a carbon free economy. This climate CBDC could prepare for a digitalized carbon-free economy, enhance financial inclusion, and would advance Europe to the forefront of financial and monetary innovation. |

The engagement mobile application offers direct communication with the consumers providing energy near real-time consumption information and feedback regarding their progress in achieving energy savings through an easy-to-understand visualization. It displays energy measurements, disaggregation results, recommendations, badges and earned Green Euros to the consumers. Personalised recommendations and available badges guide the consumers towards a more energy efficient behavior. If the goals related to the badges are successfully completed and energy savings are achieved, the consumers are awarded with Green Euros. |
